The Biltmore Estate’s Antler Hill Village

The Biltmore Estate’s Antler Hill Village

PGAV Destinations served as the architect, graphic designer, and exhibit designer for all of the buildings and site elements at the Biltmore Estate’s Antler Hill Village, which expanded the Estate’s guest offerings by offering exhibition space, a village green with live entertainment, dining, shopping and an outdoor adventure center.

This pedestrian-friendly village has become a center of activity that joins two historically significant and popular attractions at Biltmore: the Estate and the Winery. As part of this project, we enhanced the Winery to offer a newly designed tour and tasting area, incorporating the interpretive farm area with historic barn, kitchen garden, and farmyard.

New retail spaces, surrounded by picturesque views and the elegance of Biltmore tradition, offer four exceptional opportunities for guest shopping. The Mercantile offers Appalachian crafts, dry goods, and old-fashioned candies. The Outdoor Adventure Center provides clothing and sundries for Biltmore’s outdoor activities, as well as opportunities to participate in these events. Traditions is a graceful mix of products and home accents inspired by Biltmore’s style, and custom millwork fabricated by local artists. The Wine Shop allows guests to browse a complete selection of Biltmore’s wines, gourmet foods, and cooking accessories.

Fun Fact

The Village is situated in an area where Estate employees historically interacted socially through dances, harvest fairs, and classes in the evening. After the completion of the project, but before it was open to the public, two PGAV Destinations staff members who had worked extensively on the project were married on the site.
